SLC31-W1: Shop & Share Challenge - Visit a Small Local Shop.

Hello Steemit friends! Today, as part of Season 31 of the Steemit Challenge, I will introduce you to a small but very popular grocery shop in my area. The shop is called Taqwa Food Sourcing which is located in the Uttara 11 No residential area. Most of the people in this area rely on this shop for their daily grocery needs. After talking to the shop manager, I came to know that this wonderful name has been given from an Islamic perspective to maintain religious and moral values. Being inside a residential area and ensuring quality products, it has become a trusted address for the locals.

To be honest, even though there are two to three other shops very close to my house, I always choose Taqwa Food Sourcing grocery shop for shopping. One of the main reasons for this is that the owner of the shop is an acquaintance of mine and the staff here also know me quite well. Apart from being familiar, it is also the best in terms of product quality. They directly source good quality products and the spices and mustard oil made under their own supervision are very pure. Apart from this, here, along with products from various famous brands, all types of grocery products are available under one roof. Another special advantage is that if you buy a lot, they deliver the products to your home without any delivery charge. Even sometimes, even if I call from home for urgent needs, they ensure fast home delivery, which is very convenient for me.r. Upon entering Taqwa Food Sourcing, the first thing you see is a large display of bread. Here, from children's favorite cream buns, butter buns to all kinds of burger buns and plain breads, they are beautifully arranged. The rows of chips hanging on the right side of the shop easily attract customers, especially children. As you move forward, you see a large beverage refrigerator provided by the Pepsi company, where various soft drinks from Pepsi as well as other drinks are available in cold condition.

The interior of the shop is quite neat. The biscuit rack has a wide variety of collections including salt, chocolate and coconut biscuits from famous brands like Hawk, Olympic and Kiswan. My kids love the chocolate biscuits here. There is also a soap and detergent corner, where beauty soaps and antiseptic soaps from brands like Lux, Keya and Lily are available. The cooking oil rack has Radhuni mustard oil and their own Ghani mustard oil, along with soybean and rice brands.

During today's visit, I purchased 2 kg of potatoes from this shop for my daily cooking needs. As per the current market price, 2 kg of potatoes is priced at 50 taka. I have attached the picture of the product I purchased and the receipt given by the shopkeeper as proof, where the detailed price is mentioned.

The most notable thing is the shop's own spices. The owner himself sells various spices, including mustard oil, turmeric, and chili, which are the first choice for our family's cooking. These spices with a completely organic feel are what make the shop unique. The friendly attitude of the shopkeeper and the quality products, along with the home delivery facility, always make my shopping experience enjoyable.

Although Taqwa Food Sourcing is currently quite popular in the area, according to my observations, there is scope to expand the business. First, the amount of space in the shop is a bit small compared to the sales volume and the abundance of products. Increasing the size of the shop would have made it possible to display the products more beautifully, which would have made shopping easier for the customers. Currently, due to the lack of space, sometimes all the products are not visible at a glance.
In line with the current era, a digital payment system, i.e., receiving money through bKash, is necessary. This will encourage modern customers to shop. In addition, if the shop had its own website and a Facebook page for promotion, the number of online orders and the scope of business would have increased a lot. Since they work with good quality organic spices and oils, they will be able to create a large customer base outside the Uttara area through online promotion.
