Nigeria Is Testing Our Patience

Every day in Nigeria feels like a new challenge.
You wake up and the cost of something has increased again.
Transport fare goes up.
Food prices go up.
Data subscriptions disappear faster than ever.
Yet somehow, salaries and opportunities seem to stay the same.
Sometimes I wonder how the average Nigerian is still surviving.
A few years ago, ₦1,000 could buy several things from the market.
Today, you can walk into a shop with that same ₦1,000 and leave wondering what happened.
What amazes me most is the resilience of Nigerians.
People are running businesses despite poor electricity.
Students are studying despite countless challenges.
Young people are learning skills online, creating content, freelancing, and looking for opportunities wherever they can find them.
But resilience should not become an excuse for hardship.
People deserve a country where hard work actually feels rewarding.
People deserve stable electricity, affordable food, quality healthcare, and opportunities to grow.
I'm not writing this to complain.
I'm writing this because I know many Nigerians are feeling exhausted.
Behind the jokes on social media and the funny memes, many people are genuinely struggling.
Yet every morning, they get up and keep going.
That strength is admirable.
But I hope one day Nigerians won't have to be strong all the time.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
What is the biggest challenge affecting your daily life in Nigeria right now?
