Iam @tanjinajara.Alhamdulillah I am fine by the grace of Allah. I hope you are All well. I pray to Allah that Allah keeps everyone well and healthy. Today i'm going to share recipe with you. This recipe called " Mashed Malabar Spinach leaves. In Bangladesh, It’s also called "Pui Sakh pata bhorta ". It’s a traditional Bangladeshi dish made with Pui sakh( malabar spinach leaves), typically mashed with master oil, Onion, chillies, garlic and sal. It's simple, rustic and eaten with rice.

Pui shak—also known as Malabar spinach—is a popular leafy green widely consumed in Bangladesh. Among the many delicious ways it is prepared, Pui Shak Pata Bhorta (mashed pui leaves) stands out as a rustic, aromatic, and comforting dish rooted in Bengali home cooking. Bhorta, in general, refers to any mashed preparation in Bangladesh where boiled, fried, or roasted vegetables, fish, or even lentils are mashed together with mustard oil and spices to create a bold, flavorful relish. Pui shak pata bhorta is a simple, nutritious, and earthy variation of this beloved tradition.

| Malabar spinach leaves | 2-3cups(washed and chopped) |
| Onion | 3medium(finely sliced) |
| Garlic paste | 1 tablespoon |
| Dried shrimp | 1 cup |
| Red chili powder | 1 teaspoon |
| Tumeric powder | 1/2 teaspoon |
| coriander powder | 1 teaspoon |
| salt | As tasted |
| Green chilies | 3-4 |
| oil | As needed |
Step-1
Wash the Malabar spinach leaves (pui sakh leaves) thoroughly, And chopped the Malabar spinach leaves. Then I took a small pen, lightly fry the sliced onion, and garlic paste untill fragrant. Then I will add salt As needed, 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, coriander powder.I will mix them very well. Then I will add some water. Then I will still cook it for five minutes in medium heat.

Step-2
Then I will add 1 cup of dried shrimp. I will also add 3-4 green chili.Then I cook in some times.

Step-3
Then I will add 2 Cups of Malabar spinach leaves(Pui sakh patha. Then I will cook smooth and well. When I put the Malabar spinach leaves ( Pui sakh patha) Then I will put the lid on it in five minutes.

Step-4
When Malabar spinach leaves (pui Sakh pata) cooked well and looks like mashed then I will take it off the stove. In Bangladesh people’s, Malabar spinach leaves (pui sakh pata bhorta likes to eat with rice.Its enjoy with hot and eat with rice and dal.

Pui Shak Pata Bhorta is best served warm or at room temperature alongside hot steamed rice. It also pairs wonderfully with lentils (dal), fried fish, or any simple home-style curry. This bhorta is perfect for a daily meal—a humble, earthy dish packed with nutrition and Bangladeshi flavor.
