Today is the holy Eid-ul-Adha, one of the main religious festivals of Muslims. I wish everyone a happy Eid, Eid Mubarak. On the day of Eid, I wake up in the morning and see the sky a little cloudy. After waking up, I freshen up and wake up the children. Today, the children are woken up a little early, because our Eid prayers will be held here at 7:30 in the morning. Before going to the Eid prayers, the children need to be bathed and ready. After getting them ready and giving them sweets, I send them to offer the Eid prayers.

When the children return from prayers, I get them ready to go and watch the animal sacrifice. On this one day of the year, Muslims sacrifice animals according to their ability in the hope of gaining satisfaction. When the children leave, I finish all the housework and start preparing the food. By the time I finish all the work and finish cooking my lunch, it is almost afternoon. However, food arrived from my neighbors' houses in the afternoon.

Today I had a late lunch and went to rest. Since today is Eid, I couldn't go for a walk with the kids because the weather was bad. So I read story books and tried to enjoy Eid. In between reading books, I chatted with my sister-in-law who lives next door for a while.

After Maghrib prayers, the weather started to improve a bit. So I went out in the evening to enjoy the city at night and the joy of Eid. Although I was a little surprised when I went out. There was very little traffic on the streets at night and most of the shops were closed. There was a kind of silence throughout the city. Because most of the people in the city had gone to their village homes to celebrate the Eid festival. So since there were few people in the city, there was some silence in the city. We wandered around for a while and I went home. After reaching home, I felt very tired. So I had dinner a little early at night and went to sleep.
