The Diary Game [20/06/2026] // A Rainy Saturday with the Vibes.
Hi guys, accept greetings from the motherland of Cameroon and welcome back to my blog, where I share my daily lifestyle experiences with you all.
Saturday greeted us with dark clouds and steady rainfall across our community in Cameroon. As mothers, however, rain is never a limitation when it comes to providing for our families. No matter the weather, our responsibilities continue, and we do what we must to ensure our homes are well taken care of.

Armed with my umbrella and determination, I set out early in the morning to our local market to buy fresh food from the farmers at more affordable prices. The rain poured relentlessly as I made my way through the muddy paths. Upon reaching the market, I found that shopping was quite challenging. The heavy downpour had caused flooding around the major footpaths, making movement difficult and slowing down both buyers and sellers.
After purchasing the ingredients I needed, I hoped the rain would ease before heading back home. I found a place to sit and waited patiently, watching the rain beat against rooftops and splash into puddles. Minutes turned into hours, but the weather showed no signs of improving. Realising that I could not wait forever, I gathered my bags and carefully made my way home through the wet and flooded roads.
Back home, there was no time to waste. I had planned to prepare Ekwang, one of our beloved traditional delicacies. Anyone familiar with Ekwang knows that it is a labour of love, requiring patience and dedication. Despite being tired from the market trip, I got to work peeling, wrapping, and cooking. The process was long, but the delicious aroma that eventually filled the house made every effort worthwhile.
When the meal was finally ready, the family gathered around the table and enjoyed a wonderful lunch together. Sharing a meal with loved ones always makes the hard work worthwhile. Afterwards, I took some time to rest and recharge from the busy day.
As evening approached, I settled down to enjoy some football action. I watched the World Cup matches between the Netherlands and Sweden, followed by the Ivory Coast versus Germany. The games were exciting and entertaining, providing the perfect way to relax after such a demanding day. It was wonderful to unwind and enjoy the thrill of football from the comfort of home while the rain continued outside.
And just like that, my rainy Saturday came to an end. Despite the challenges brought by the weather, it was a productive and fulfilling day filled with family, food, and football. Until my next diary entry, guys, have a fantastic weekend and stay safe wherever you are✌️✌️.
