According to those responsible for the mission, the satellite still has some fuel and in the worst case they could direct the fall towards a safety zone. The ideal would be to send the satellite to Point Nemo, located in the South Pacific and considered the most unpopulated place on Earth.

As you can imagine, with such a size and flying lower than normal, it turns out to be right now one of the most visible satellites with the naked eye of all those in Earth's orbit.
