Introduction - I'm "Football" Paul

Well, here I am. Joining another bloody social network.

I’m Paul, though for reasons that involve a terrible Sunday League tackle, an overly dramatic ref, and a brief stint wearing a literal cardboard crown at the pub, everyone calls me Football Paul. The name stuck. The crown, thankfully, did not.

As you’ve probably guessed, I’m a self-confessed lover of The Beautiful Game. I live and breathe football. When I’m not watching it, I’m usually complaining about it, analyzing tactics that I have absolutely no control over, or wondering why on earth I let a bunch of millionaires kicking a piece of leather around ruin my weekend mood. It’s a sickness, really.

I’ve drifted over to Steemit because, let’s be honest, the mainstream platforms have become a bit of a dumpster fire lately. It’s all algorithmic nonsense and people shouting into the void. I’m hoping this place has a bit more soul, or at least fewer adverts for things I Googled once by accident.

Expect plenty of football chat, a healthy dose of cynicism, and some honest takes on the sport. I promise to keep it entertaining, mostly polite, and only mildly unhinged when my team inevitably concedes in the 90th minute.

I've been posting in World of Sport but that's very quiet. If there's a better community for sports posts, please point me in the right direction.
