Now I will cook delicious Chittagong Mejbani Beef using the above ingredients. Now I am presenting the tutorial of this delicious dish for my Steemian friends

😋Tutorial on making a delicious and traditional mejbani beef recipe

😋Step 1:-

  • Before starting my tutorial, I managed all the ingredients and start my tutorial. For example, I wash two onions and cut them into small pieces, and arrange them in a bowl.
  • I wash the boot soles thoroughly several times to make sure the dirt is completely removed

😋Step 2:-

  • Now I take 500 grams of beef and wash it several times with water, and let the water drain through a sieve.
  • Now I cut the gourd pieces into small pieces to put inside the meat and wash them, and keep them in a bowl. Now I grease the gourd pieces with two spoons of mustard oil.

😋Step 3:-

  • All the ingredients for cooking are ready. Now I will start cooking the mezbani meat. I put a saucepan on the stove, I add a sufficient amount of soybean oil, and wait until the oil is hot.
  • When the oil is hot, I add the chopped onions and wait for them to fry properly,
  • Then I add the ginger and garlic paste to the saucepan and fry it well.

😋Step 4:-

  • After frying for a while, I tear three bay leaves into it. Along with that, I add cardamom and cinnamon and fry for a while more.

😋Step 5:-

  • At this stage, I add two spoons of turmeric and two spoons of chili powder to the saucepan and fry it more.
  • Now I add one spoon of coriander powder and a little water. This will make it easier to fry the spices. And the more you fry, the more the taste of the food will increase.

😋Step 6:-

  • Again, I add tomato in pieces. Fry for a while, and now I put the previously drained meat in the saucepan and add some salt.
I stir the meat well in the mortar so that the spices can reach every layer of the meat.

Why is this food important to your people? When is it traditionally eaten? (Is it festive, ceremonial, daily, or symbolic?). What does it represent culturally? How does it reflect the lifestyle, values, and history of your people?

The Indian subcontinent, including Bangladesh, was once under the Mughal Empire. They were very food-loving. Chefs would prepare delicious meals for the kings. Now the kings are gone, but the demand for food from that time remains, depending on the region. Each region has gained fame for its own food.
For example, I mentioned the Chittagong mezbani meat. Everyone cooks meat beautifully and fun, but the mezbani food of Chittagong means a different taste and variety. The spices used to cook this food are also somewhat different in nature.
Since it is a bit difficult to arrange this spice for everyone, the companies mentioned sell mezbani spices separately.

LMC_20260416_235212_🌈Color boost By Expert Mistry.jpg

This mezbani meat is very important to the people of Chittagong. It is a symbol of their heritage. The food is intertwined with the culture of Chittagong. Here are some special spices that are not available anywhere else. For example, red chili from Hathazari is one of the ingredients.
In any family function, wedding, birthday, seminar or even a grand event in Chittagong, delicious food is prepared and everyone enjoys its taste.
Culturally, traditional mezbani food is also history. It reflects lifestyle and values. Traditionally, we got the food from the Mughals. We still keep it as a historical food. Its taste is so wonderful that even though many modern foods are made with the change of era, the demand for this food does not end. This is why the presence of this mezbani meat can be seen in any family function. Wedding, birthday, meeting, seminar, meeting etc. This food represents the name Chittagong, represents the people there.
This is why we see that every now and then, when Mejbani food fairs are held, thousands of people from different districts rush like crazy to eat that delicious and historical food.

What memories do you personally associate with it and the price of the ingredients in steem and local currency?

Personally, I have a small memory associated with this delicious Mejbani meat. The incident was about 25 years ago. Suddenly, I had to go to Chittagong for a special work. The people whose houses I stayed at for a day cooked the meat. But the taste was completely different, it tasted very good. Then I came to know the name of Chittagong's Mejbani meat.
The taste of that time is really unforgettable. I have eaten many Mejbani meats in the past but the taste of the first day's cooking will not let me forget.

Now I will determine the price of delicious Chittagong's Mejbani meat. I am presenting it in both our local currency and STEEM currency.
