No, questo "non è un ciclo in cui vincono tutti. È un ciclo in cui vincono in pochi.”

Questa frase riassume perfettamente l’idea di Benjamin Cowen su quello che stiamo vivendo oggi nel mercato crypto. (Rif.)

Dall'ultimo ATH di Bitcoin ci stiamo chiedendo tutti dov’è finita la altseason?

Bitcoin ha fatto il suo percorso, ha raggiunto nuovi massimi… eppure qualcosa non è scattato.

Quella rotazione verso le altcoin che abbiamo visto nel 2017 e nel 2021 non è mai arrivata!

Secondo Cowen, questo ciclo ha una caratteristica unica: il top di Bitcoin non è stato guidato dall’euforia… ma dall’apatia.

Nei cicli precedenti c'erano: entusiasmo altissimo, retail che entra a fiumi, hype ovunque.

E da lì nasceva l'altseason. Dove vincevano tutti. Ve le ricordate le shitcoin?

Oggi invece c'è poco interesse, poco rumore e pochi nuovi investitori.
E senza nuova liquidità…non c’è nessuno a cui vendere le altcoin.

Se manca l'euforia significa niente nuovi soldi e senza nuovi soldi scordiamoci la rotazione delle Altcoin che ferme (o in discesa).

Il vero problema è fuori dalla crypto. Cowen sottolinea una cosa importante: il mercato crypto non vive isolato

Siamo in una fase di: fine ciclo economico, con liquidità più stretta e un ambiente “risk-off”.

In queste condizioni, chiaramente gli investitori cercano sicurezza e nel mondo crypto questo significa una cosa sola: Bitcoin.

E le altcoin? Restano indietro.

Questa situazione non è nuova. Anche nel 2019: le altcoin non hanno seguito Bitcoin e non c'è stata una vera altseason.

E infatti, per Cowen, il 2025 è una versione più grande dello stesso schema del 2019.

Sembra comunque, che il ciclo quadriennale non sia rotto.

È solo cambiato il modo in cui si sviluppa.

Forse non è un ciclo peggiore. È solo un ciclo diverso.

La realtà ormai è chiara: niente più pump generalizzati, è finita l'era del "compro qualsiasi alt e sale”.

Nei cicli passati bastava esserci, mentre oggi serve di più, serve selezione, strategia… e parecchia di pazienza.

Since Bitcoin’s last ATH, we’ve all been asking the same question: where is the altseason?

Bitcoin has done its thing, it reached new highs… and yet something didn’t click.

That rotation into altcoins we saw in 2017 and 2021 simply never happened.

According to Cowen, this cycle has a unique characteristic: Bitcoin’s top wasn’t driven by euphoria… but by apathy.

In previous cycles, we had: massive enthusiasm, retail flooding in, hype everywhere.

And that’s what fueled the altseason. A phase where basically everyone was winning. Remember all those shitcoins?

Today instead, we have: low interest, little noise and very few new investors

And without new liquidity… there’s no one to sell altcoins to.

If there’s no euphoria, there’s no new money.
And without new money, forget about any real rotation into altcoins: they stay flat (or keep dropping).

The real problem is outside crypto. Cowen highlights something important: the crypto market does not exist in isolation.

We are in a phase of: late economic cycle, tighter liquidity, a “risk-off” environment.

In these conditions, investors naturally look for safety.
And in crypto, that means one thing: Bitcoin.

Altcoins? They lag behind.

This situation isn’t new. In 2019 as well: altcoins didn’t follow Bitcoin, and there was no real altseason.

And in fact, according to Cowen, 2025 looks like a larger version of that same 2019 pattern.

It seems, however, that the four-year cycle is not broken.

It has simply changed the way it plays out.

Maybe this isn’t a worse cycle. Just a different one.

The reality is becoming clear: no more generalized pumps, the era of “buy any altcoin and it goes up” is over.

In past cycles, it was enough just to be there. Today, it’s not.
Now it takes selection, strategy… and a lot more patience.
