We now live in a world where patience is fast becoming a forgotten virtue because everything seems to now move on a fast lane. Everyone wants everything done very fast, even today we have fast food joints everywhere.

But the fact remains that whatever excludes time and process might actually sustainability and durability meaning they can hardly stand the test of time because many of those things have no solid foundation as they were achieved with little or no procedural flow.

Patience is gradually disappearing, people can no longer endure process and the curves it comes with, we want to skip certain important parts of building something sustainable but want a result we hope would stand the test of time. Nah! it doesn't work that way.

This discussion cut across every aspect of our lives including finance, especially in the aspect of wealth creation. Many want to be wealthy overnight without building wealth. Take note of the word 'building". "Building" is systematic, it's not something achieved overnight. Even the wealthy don't build a house in one day even when they have all the resources needed to get the house built in a day.

What does that tell you, there is a place for time in the building process, if you lay a foundation today, you've got to wait for it to become firm enough for the structure you want to put on it. Building is also systematic, such that everything follows a well defined pattern, no part is skipped for another to be achieved.

You don't put up your desired house design without first laying the foundation, you do not roof until you get to the roofing level, no matter how much material you've got for the roofing. Today, it is not so with many. we've got people who are already roofing project with no foundation.

Of course you do not need a prophet to tell you what would befall such structure. Such a person wants everything done ASAP but forgot that most valuable things are designed to operate on lines and precepts. Patience is that virtue that keeps you in check as you move from one phase to another. Patience is that virtue that guarantees the longevity and sustainability of what you're building.

Patience tends to help you own the process, growth with it and also help you appreciate it. I will also like to add that it helps you see better. Anyone who is impatient can never take cognisance of the things around including red flags, his goal is to get to where he or she is headed as fast as he can.

While on the other hand a patient person has all the time to observe every step of the way, vetting and approving his steps all the way to the realization of his dream. A patient person makes minimal mistakes while an impatient person would have to deal with many mistakes as he journeys.

Many successful people can confidently share with you their road to success because they walked it, those who see them from afar can easily mistake their success for some overnight luck and hope to get the same result not until they hear the story of the very person they hope to look like...

Do not despise the days of your little beginning, trying to connect the dots to build something meaningful. Take your time and enjoy the ride to the actualization of your dream.
