The dairy game [31/05/2026] Two Kids, Two Mothers, Two Lessons: What Parenting Really Teaches

Hello my fellow steemit friends
Hope you are enjoying your weekend it's me @lilnass1010 I want to share something that happened in my neighbouring house, I was at home, I noticed Two Kids may be around two years old playing with a toys. At first it seems harmless, but as I got closer, I realized there were struggling over it. One child the owner, was trying hard to get it back, but the other pushed him to the ground.

I stepped in to calm things down-and then their mother appeared. The reaction of the first mother shocked me, instead confronting her child, told him to push back and defend himself. She even shouted, always stand your ground, meanwhile the other mother reacted differently. She picked up her child, scold him for taking the toy and pushing and make him apologise.

Watching these two contrasting approaches left me thinking, one Teaches strength and other teaching self-defence- control. Both make sense in their own way.

This made me realise Parenting is more about mind set than momentary behaviour. Correction: how children handle conflict today shape how they face bigger challenges tomorrow. Teaching aggressive without guidance may create fighter's while teaching only restraints might leave children unsure how to assert themselves.

The lessons? balance is key. Children need to how to stand up for themselves and how to resolve it conflicts peacefully. Role-playing. discussing feelings and modeling calm assertiveness can guide them towards both courage and emphaty.

So, follow steemians, I will leave you with this question: how would you handle this if is were your child?

                        Thanks for Reading
