My diary game 10/06/2026 my experience preparing Dan wake today at home

Hello everyone welcome back to my diary game I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your day peacefully Today I want to share a different experience from my usual diary entries Instead of going out I spent part of my day preparing one of my favorite local foods Dan Wake.
I woke up early in the morning and thanked Almighty Allah for the gift of life and good health After performing my morning prayers,I spent some time relaxing and planning how to spend my day.
Later in the morning I decided to prepare Dan Wake Since it is a popular Hausa delicacy I was excited to make it and enjoy it with fresh vegetables and spices.
Preparing the Ingredient
The first thing I did was gather all the ingredients needed for the meal I prepared the Dan Wake flour mixture and also arranged the ingredients that would be used for serving including lettuce cucumber,onions,pepper,seasoning and some oil.
Mixing the Flour
I poured the flour into a bowl and gradually added water while mixing carefully until it formed a smooth dough I made sure the mixture was not too hard or too soft so that it would cook properly.
Shaping the Dan Wake
After preparing the dough I started shaping it into small pieces using my hands This stage required patience because I wanted all the pieces to have a similar size.
Boiling the Dan Wake
Next I placed a pot of water on the fire and allowed it to boil When the water became hot enough I carefully added the shaped Dan Wake pieces and allowed them to cook properly After some time they became firm and ready for serving.
Preparing the Garnishing
While waiting for the Dan Wake to finish cooking,I washed and sliced the vegetables I cut the cucumber, onions and lettuce into small pieces and arranged them neatly.
Serving the Meal
Finally I combined everything together and added the necessary seasonings The meal looked colorful, fresh and very appetizing I was happy with the final result because the Dan Wake turned out well and tasted delicious.
One important lesson I learned today is that preparing food requires patience,attention and effort Cooking at home not only saves money but also helps us appreciate the work that goes into making every meal.
I also learned that local foods remain an important part of our culture and should continue to be appreciated and preserved for future generations.
