The Diary Game: 27th May, 2026. Sallah Celebration, Busy Day and Rest.
Hello guys, good evening again. It's Otidi here. It's been two days away from here — I’ve been very, very busy with work. That each time I come home, I just get very tired. To even raise my finger and tell you guys about my day starts feeling like a lot of work.
But I had to push myself today and do it. So this is how my day went. You know we are in the Ramadan/Sallah season, and today was the Sallah celebration.
Bro, everyone has been very busy. Everybody has been running up and down right from yesterday till today. At this point, I don’t think tinubu is gonna take you people seriously anymore with the way everybody is taking this celebration, because meat, ram, chicken, and cow are just flying everywhere right now.
I also partook in the whole engagement today because we rear chickens in my house. I was trying to sell chickens and attend to one or two customers that kept coming around to pick theirs.
This was me today carrying a chicken to deliver somewhere close to my house. A lot of people came around to buy, and all the chickens are almost finished. We have about ten to fifteen of them remaining. If you still want to get some, you can still come over to my place.
That was basically how my day started. In the afternoon, I was supposed to go to work. I had planned to go by 12 o’clock, but something else came up and I couldn’t go anymore.
At some point, I thought I should eat something, but funny enough, I never even felt hungry throughout the day. It honestly felt like I was the one doing the celebration. I think the only thing I ate earlier was Indomie, and after that I was just eating because I knew I needed to eat.
One thing about this year’s Sallah is that it feels like everybody is celebrating it. Even christians, we joined on. My aunty, everybody — both Christians and Muslims alike — everybody is just celebrating. I honestly don’t know what happened this year, but the celebration is everywhere.
My aunty who stays in the next compound also brought food for us. I ate with my junior brother while I was on the phone with my friend for a long time.
Towards the evening, I made food for the family again. I made swallow and ogbono, and that was what we ate.
I also had some work to do in my laptop Which I couldn't attend to cause I was busy.
Later at night, I was finally able to get some work done. Even though I couldn’t finish everything, I achieved a good percentage of it and submitted it to the clients, and everybody was happy.
So yeah, that was basically how my day went. I’ll see you guys tomorrow. Bye.
