The diary game|| "Bardhaman Lions Club"
Lions Clubs International is one of the world's largest international volunteer and service organizations. It was founded in 1917 in Chicago, USA, by Melvin Jones. Its primary objective is to serve local and international communities selflessly.
As it happens, there is a Lions Club right here in Bardhaman. We selected it as the subject of our group project and scheduled a day to visit and conduct a survey. Before the visit, however, we had to complete several formalities, such as obtaining permission and submitting an application. When the day arrived, some of us took a 'toto' (electric rickshaw) from the university while others met at the railway station; we then walked together to the Lions Club, where our collective presence was essential.
I gathered various pieces of information from one of the key figures there. We also took a group photo together, which was a very significant moment for us; personally, I also took a few photos of the surroundings. The facility primarily functions as a children's hospital, with a main focus on eye care. Right next to the club, there is a canteen where both the staff and outsiders can purchase food. Finally, several members of the Lions Club and we students from Bardhaman University took some photographs together.
