THE FULFILMENT OF GOD'S PROMISES
12 BEHOLD, I HAVE DONE ACCORDING TO YOUR WORDS; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.
13 AND I HAVE ALSO GIVEN YOU WHAT YOU HAVE NOT ASKED: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days.
14 SO IF YOU WALK IN MY WAYS, TO KEEP MY STATUTES AND MY COMMANDMENTS, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”"
1 Kings 3:11–15 (NKJV)
There is something about God's promises or covenants; If He said He would do a particular thing, that largely is premised on the condition that If the person, the covenantee, does what he supposed to do as the part of his own agreement of the covenant or promise (Deuteronomy 28:1,2,15).
When something is promised by God, It does not mean It would automatically happen or come to pass.
A number of things or conditions are attached to whatever promise God has made with anyone. In other words, in whatever God promises to do, terms and conditions are applied, before it could become a reality (1 Kings 6:11-13).
Most of the times, a lot of believers usually go to sleep when they got to know God's promises, but they would have forgotten that there are conditions premised the fulfilment of the promises.
I have seen and heard a lot of things which God did promise many believers but those things were not fulfilled, the promises were aborted.
• To avoid abortion of the promises of God, you should pay attention to whatever prompted or moved God to make the promise or covenant in the first place (1 Corinthians 15:58).
• The truth is, If you could keep doing, or be faithful in the doing or practice of whatever led to the promise made by God, or the cutting of the covenant; the promise would surely be made good.
• However, If you did go to sleep and allow apathy in your walk with God, you might have as well forget about the fulfilment or realization of the promise.
• Your commitment in the things of God should not be deterred or inhibited, but rather be increased.
• The principles that God has taught you which you have been practicing should not be forsaken or jettisoned—you should keep at them.
• Do not prioritize your needs above God's work or kingdom, His own should always be done first (1 kings 17:13).
• In a situation where there is a need to give your substance, money or whatever, to God, His work, and you equally have a personal need; that of God should be done first. Please, this is very important, do not trivialize it.
• If you experienced any hitch or change or abortion in whatever God has promised you or what He has been doing for a period of time, you should go and check it, the mistake must have been from you—you must have defaulted in what you ought to do, that which you have been doing before.
• God is not precarious or unpredictable or unreliable. He is faithful to His Word, If He said it, He would surely make it good: “GOD IS NOT A MAN, THAT HE SHOULD LIE, NOR A SON OF MAN, THAT HE SHOULD REPENT [He does not change His mind]. HAS HE SAID, AND WILL HE NOT DO? OR HAS HE SPOKEN, AND WILL HE NOT MAKE IT GOOD?" (Numbers 23:19 NKJV).
"GOD IS NOT A MAN; HE WILL NOT LIE.
GOD IS NOT A HUMAN BEING; HIS DECISIONS WILL NOT CHANGE. IF HE SAYS HE WILL DO SOMETHING, THEN HE WILL DO IT. IF HE MAKES A PROMISE, THEN HE WILL DO WHAT HE PROMISED."
Numbers 23:19 (Easy-to-Read Version)
• If you kept doing what He has asked you to do, then you would keep experiencing His faithfuness.
You will not fail in Jesus' name.
• Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' mighty name.
• The healing you have just received now will not be lost again in Jesus' mighty name.
Peace.
STEPS TO SALVATION
