Night Watch
It was a really long day of work. Living abroad has never been more difficult for her. She remembers the old times that she was at home. Remembered, the laughs, the odd conversations and how simple and straight forward everyone was. It is like if there was not a single bad time before. Memories work in a way that only feels real. But, something within her says that it is not reality. It is more of what she really needs right now.
She stopped the car as she reached her destination. It was the Night Watch. A place at the beach, where the moon is visible as if it was one of the buildings of the city. The breezes coming from the ocean hits as if it was returning soul to a body. The light flicker on the waves, making the whole place unreal or, just a scene from a movie.
A ship was leaving. It fades away from the eyes the further it goes into the ocean. A lot of people were around that day. Watching the ship and just having a chat, or, enjoying the weather. She was there, thinking, of how lighter she would feel if it was possible to put some of the memories on that ship and say goodbye to them and maybe replace them with a new, unattached experience.

This story is really good; sometimes we need a place like this. Now I'm going to read the others. Have you thought about compiling your stories for publication?
Aww thanks! I agree, one needs to just relax from time to time.
Oh, I thought about that. It was just an idea, I didn't really work on it or anything. I am keeping a track of all of them. But, I'm not sure where to start with publication thing. I think that there are many formalities to be done there.
Well, in these days there are many site to auto publish like Amazon. Of course is not the same that to be published by an editorial but is easy.
