A few more minutes to accumulate

On his deathbed, a man consumed by greed tries to accumulate more and more; it seems that the chest near him demands his attention: "Just one more coin, and more," the chest seems to tell him

The demons of greed dwelling in the chest continue to lure him. The man is unaware that he will die in a few minutes, that everything in the chest will be lost, but the demons within are stronger than his own reality. Weakened but possessed by the demons of greed in the chest, he continues to accumulate coins, thus satisfying what matters most to him (the material), not the spiritual.

Memories flood the dying man's mind. He recalls the satisfaction he felt accumulating coins in his youth, seemingly feeding his demons with greater intensity, even in his final moments as death claims him. It is a stark reminder of how humanity loses itself in material possessions, foolishly ignoring that everything will be lost.

Sort:

Death comes, what we have remains; those who want to avoid it suffer more when leaving this world, dedicating themselves to other material matters and becoming so attached to them that they wish to be immortal.

And the point is that many people want to live forever, but they won't achieve it; in fact, it's absurd.

Life is precious. Some people, by dedicating themselves to trivial matters, neglect what is most important: enjoying life with their families, being able to have memories of moments lived with them. That is true happiness. The rest is simply help. Let's be honest, without money you can't do much; it's necessary, but true value lies in what we experience.
I wish you luck in the contest, I like the story, it has a good moral.

I truly hope this isn't you, eager to save to be have a comfy life. One gets easily addicted Tina certain lifestyle and counting money in his bankaccount.

I also wonder if a part of thean's behaviour isn't born out of fear and poverty and if the rest is behaviour. If you always struggle it is hard to sit and think about other things in life that might matter (not people since those struggling, being poor, rarely have true friends willing to spend quality time).
