Largid Bug (Largidae)

in Beauty of Creativity21 hours ago

Just right on the dried twig, a bug with orange lines on both sides seemed to be calm, which might be a good chance to take some pictures of this common insect while the dark started to come over. All I had to do was to find the good light so I could perceive a proper shot. When I felt right, I managed to take a couple of shots from different angles with my smartphone plus an external macro. This bug is included in the true bug family Largidae that mostly have stout bodies, with no ocelli, and a four-segmented rostrum; distinctive wing venation; Arhaphini are ant-like.
