The cave man sketch

This was an old drawing I saw in my archive, I titled it the “cave man“ the title depict my recent experience, an experience that made me remember the cavemen. I ran out of match sticks yesterdays night and it was only one match that was left in the case, I was outside on the street few hours ago before it became so dark that most stores would have close, and it didn’t occur to me to get a match stick, it was so cold that I wanted to drink coffee, and due to the fact that I live in a country where we usually have interrupted power supply, that worsened my issue. In the process of lighting the last match stick I didn’t pay attention to do it well, that was how I stroke the match on the case carelessly and in my very own eyes that match couldn’t hold up fire for a while. It now down on me how messed up I was at that point, and I didn’t even have any small gas lighter. At this point of pain the only thing that came to my mind was the cavemen, 😂 I started cracking my brain how can I light fire without a match stick but it was so bad that I don’t even have any material I could use to try. That was how I slept that night without taking my coffee. My duvet was all I got. I want this work to remind us to be patient and self aware, and always have a backup item. This experience may not be a big deal but then again it matters because how you handle small stuff could determine you readiness to handle bigger problems. I hope this resonates with someone out there, thanks for reading.

I have no idea if a caveman looked this but I find your drawing amazing. I am not into hair (how time have changed) but you definitely put a lot of work into this. He looks a bit pained and wonders...most likely because your drawing is so much better than those cave paintings.
Is the white in the hair all done by an eraser?
😍
I have watched documentaries so I have an idea how cavemen look like they usually have rough beard and rough skin, yeah I wanted to capture a mood on his face that’s why he looked that way.
Yes I used a white eraser to give that white highlights on the hair.
