SILENT HAWK – ISSUE 7: PAGE 3 PROCESS
Hello guys, it's been a while since my last post. I definitely had something to do and I had to pause on the drawing for a while. I guess school holiday is also over on my side as school resumes this Monday. I'll still keep the drawing going as usual.
Continuing from the last page — here's page 3.
The scene:
Commander Akinyi is now being escorted by some new faces — Qwen Infano and an assistant. They're taking her to the exact spot where Tomi and Fate disappeared.
But there's something interesting. One of them noticed a tree with some purple energy. Weird to explain, but it's definitely not normal.
The process:
Started with a rough sketch to get the characters and their positions—I decided to use my already drawn pen work this time around. I used comics to give it the initial looks at the beginning of the gif. It should have Ave looked like this
Added the background later — kept it simple since the focus is on the conversation. Traced the lines I wanted, then painted and added colors.

I’m glad you’re getting back on track. I know how hard that is. I feel as though I have to start all over again, time and time again.
We didn’t have any school holidays at all here. What sort of holiday was that? Just a few days at Easter. That’s not much to speak of; let’s call it a long weekend, probably with more hassle.
If you are not in the mood or lack time, draw cubes, faces or just some lines.
It's school break after our first semester exams. School is buzzing with few people now, I guess but school activities should fully begin after Easter.
It's as if you read my future cos I haven't really been drawing well for a while. I was feeling stuck plus bored plus nothing interesting coming to mind. Movies didn't solve my problem either😩 and my yesterday was almost worse.
Sometimes you just need to do something different, or perhaps just draw a few lines or start something new. I have to say that I’m feeling pretty stuck in a rut at the moment, because all I really do is paint doors and nothing else, and it feels as though I’m constantly taking steps backwards. Just yesterday I thought: maybe I should just start doing some puzzles, with a ruler and a set square, hahaha.
It’ll just come back to drawing a few lines, making some circles, a bit of sketching, and who knows, if you mess about a bit, you’ll take your mind off things and the rest will just come naturally. At least then it doesn’t feel like a waste of time and you’ve still drawn something; a straight line is worth a lot too.
The term has already started here and it’s the last term of the academic year. I don’t think much is actually getting done.
Cheer up, better days are on the way (that’s the upside of things going badly 😉).
I’ve just set the clock forward an hour. This is what we call summer time, but it’s our official time plus 20 minutes earlier. Summer time, nice and optimistic. Spring isn’t even on the way yet.

Yeah, maybe I should just go for nice looking lines too this night and try being more optimistic.

How was your big day?
I intended to paint some stripes and blocks, something totally different came out and I am very satisfied
My day was fine. I went to school yesterday for nothing much (🌚), and today too. We still haven't started real work, but I was just going through some movies I know I won't get a chance to watch after this week, hehe.
I finished a previous page of Silent Hawk yesterday (or maybe the day before), and I did two pages today too. Guess that's enough for today.
I'm glad you're satisfied with the outcome of your painting (I don't know why, but I'm curious to see it 😁). Was it like a zebra coating or something similar?
No zebra coating.
All of a sudden I wonder in what exactly those blocks ended up and what I painted. Yesterday I intended to paint blocks again simply to paint something different from cupboards and walls. I couldn't discover one single block. I guess my brain wants to get rid of all the extra info first.
Why did you scratch with red?
For sure two pages are enough and those teachers should learn not to waste others' time.

It's a beautiful horizon—or maybe three islands—in the presence of fog, and perhaps a mirage. It's a nice painting, and it got me imagining One Piece.
(Sorry, I hope I haven't disrespected your perfect work with my gamy collage, which I did to show what I was thinking.)
As for why I shaded those images, it was a side image edit I did for my big brother and sister's birthday on March 25th, while the other was mine on the 28th. They were not really my focus.
Well for the blocks, it's best I don't give a suggestion so I don't scramble what you'll come up with with my imaginations. I'm sure whatever comes out would still look amazing
