Chicken Evolution

I hope you're all doing well.
So I finally decided to mint an NFT I created 1 or 2 months ago. Back then, I didn't have the urge to mint it. I just kept it to myself thinking I might end up deleting it until today. Its been a while since I minted something so I thought this would do and It was partly cos I wanted to try posting my process video on tiktok too😂.
Where did the idea come from?
My landlady's chicken army. Those birds are everywhere. Every time I want to leave the house, they swarm around me like I'm hiding food in my pockets.
One day I gave them some grains of rice. The fight that broke out was brutal. One alpha chicken chased everyone away. But the mother hen? She just stood there.
(There are two mother chickens there and that's not the chicken that has been taught too many lessons, she not around today I wonder why.
That one has her feathers almost completely pulled off and the orange guy mother in this pic is the bully although she doesn't dare come near the grey for a fight)
That stuck with me.
So I drew a chicken that had been taught too many lessons. She became a stone at the heart of the flock. She lived by survival of the fittest. Then she was thrown into flames — expected to burn.
Instead, she evolved.

I like the red, with or without chicken. Just a pity it isn't steemexclusive. It's a good thing there are who don't care and support art.
We'll we can't all care and sometimes we'd like to put our minds to something else unless it's work.
Red is a good colour although I like blue better.
